right now, here is a time lapse of the sky over virginia looking west from our studio and there were some clouds this morning with a thick haze over the washington area. 99 degrees at reagan national airport right now and we have tied the record already. record is 95.s --the dulles record is 95. we are 94 in martinsburg and 96 in huntingdown. it feels like we are above 100 and above 103 in some spots. as the hours go by, we will see the key indices continue to rise until it feels like 108 degrees. a heat advisory is in effect until 11:00 p.m. we have a situation that will take place in the upper level of the atmosphere later tonight which is an area of low pressure. that is over the atlantic and will drift in word and give us an easterly wind and will bring the cooler air off the ocean slowly into our region. it will not be as hot tomorrow because of that and we have a cold front that will approach from the west so the hot air will get squeezed into our region and squeezed into this out as we go into the weekend. we will get more a break into the weekend behind that cold front. with
